Thunder in Morcote

We've arrived in Morcote, on Lake Lugano in the Tocino region of Switzerland. We had heavy thunderstorms last night rumbling through, with rain this morning and the sun breaking through.

Our hotel overlooks the lake, with a view of Italy on the opposite shore. We'll probably board the morning boat back to Lugano to take in some museums or the marketplace today. We had the traditional Swiss breakfast of yogurt, meusli, breads, cheese, meats, juice and coffee with milk. Great way to start the day!

Greetings Family and Friends,
I am doing well and am still alive. My health is fine. I am using less insulin on this trip due to the amount of exercise I am getting in. I am the caboose in the hiking line but am moving along sure but slow. The Swiss Alp Hikers are taking bets as to which day I will drop dead. So far I am doing fine. I did get lost in the cemetary today and had my children worried for a little bit but I surfaced and found my way back to the hotel. I won the award for the most extreme event of the day and must wear the Swiss cow bell around my neck for the next day. All in good fun. Tell Grandma Dwyer we are all having lots of fun and that we miss her. We have lots of stories to share when we get back home. We spent some time in Italy yesterday and today. Good food and good friends make for a great time. It feels so good to be on vacation. We also received some fantastic news this week
Bryanna passed her state board exam and we are celebrating big time here in Switzerland. We are so proud of her. Please share our good news. We miss IZABELL SO MUCH......I LOVE YOU MIKAELA AND KAREN AND TOM. TELL TOM I AM DOING WELL AND HAVING A GREAT TIME. I MISS YOU SO MUCH. SEE SOON. LOVE NANCY

HI Everyone--so nice to go along on the 2nd AAS Tour as well! I have tried to comment but I am always rejected but I have another idea. This is short in case it gets dumped, too!

Hi everyone in the Kollmann/Dwyer group. I wanted to wish Angie a happy belated birthday (July
16th). You will never forget where you spent this birthday. Hope you had a great day.
Also want to say Happy Birthday to Deb Jacobs (July 18th). Make sure you get your picture taken for your scrapbook. We are all doing fine here. I keep picking up the phone wanting to talk to Nancy or Deb. I miss you guys. Also, congratulations to Bry on passing her boards. You guys must be celebrating every night. Izabell is missing you a lot. She has a scraped on her nose -- no, I did not push her down. She fell at daycare on the cement. We are going to Richmond River Lakes Days on Saturday, to the parade and to see Grandpa Tom. Enjoy the rest of your trip - only a few days left. I will see you at the airport on Sunday night. Love you all. Karen
